Invisible Link Placement
Guide
Invisible image links should be around 20x20
pixels in size. However if you are adding several links we suggest you use more then one size. You could have a row of 10 or so links that are 20x20 pixels in size and the other row of 10 links with a 25x25 size.
The reason we think you might want to use different sizes is so that major search engines won't be able to distinguish between your invisible links and normal image links that webmasters normally place on their site. If you have 50 20x20 pixel invisible links on your page on several pages of your site, the major search engines may pick up on it and penalize you.
If you are using only 10 to 20 links on your page you should be ok with using just one size, the search engines shouldn't pick up on it.
Your image link should be the same color as
your page background. Put your invisible links at the bottom of your page where there is
no content.
It is important that your image links do not
have a border.
Here is an example of an image link with a border and one
without a border.

To remove the border from your image link, make sure you
specify in your html editor that you want no borders. Here is an example of code that
removes the border.
<a
href="http://www.invisible-links.com"><img src="square2.jpg" width="20"
height="20"
alt="example"
border="0"></a>
If your image link has a border then it is no longer
invisible.
You need to remove the border.
At the bottom of this page below the black link there are 3
rows of image links. They are all 20x20 square images that are white, (the same color as
the page background).
